Let’s Talk.

Welcome - I’m glad you are here. I am a mental health therapist in Puyallup, Washington dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges. Whether you are a child, adolescent, or adult, I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I specialize in working with individuals facing stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, parenting challenges, caregiver burnout, compassion fatigue, religious trauma and excommunication, and identity struggles. Additionally, I have a particular interest in supporting parents raising children with behavioral or mental health disorders.

My approach is warm, empathetic, and tailored to your unique needs. I use an integrative therapeutic framework, blending techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), among others. By focusing on your strengths, goals, and experiences, I aim to guide you toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth. Whether you're working through feelings of overwhelm, navigating role changes, or seeking support in overcoming difficult moments, my priority is to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.

Building a trusting relationship is at the core of my work, and I am committed to creating an environment where you feel heard and valued. Together, we can explore your challenges and develop effective strategies to foster positive change.

My Services

  • I provide wraparound therapy to relational systems experiencing distress or conflict. Wraparound therapy is a holistic, comprehensive, and dynamic approach with the goal of supporting individuals within relationships, families, or other systems to improve quality of those relationships through individual mental health therapy, skill development, and implementation of skills through combined sessions.

Examples may include but are not limited to:

    • Parent(s) and Child(ren) Experiencing Conflict

    • Parent(s) with Child(ren) with Behavioral Disorders

    • Couples, Marriage, Families, or Friendships Experiencing Conflict

    • Reunification Therapy

    My approach is twofold:

    1. Meeting individually with each member of the system for individual therapy to identify problems, set goals, develop skills, and process feelings.

    2. When each member of the system feels ready, I begin combined sessions between clients to allow for conflict mediation, communication development, and problem solving.

Note: Each system is unique and may require different approaches. While many systems are ready for combined sessions after 4-10 weeks, more or less time may be required based on needs of the individuals within the systems readiness and comfort level.

  • It is my belief that children learn best through the language of play. I use a combination of talk therapy, play, and art to help children develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts and feelings, skills to increase healthy self-expression, coping skills, and processing abilities.

Additionally, I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support children in overcoming anxiety or stress related to a traumatic experience.

  • I support adolescents and teenagers by creating a relationship where they feel truly heard, seen, and valued. I strive to foster a safe and nonjudgmental space where they can express themselves openly and explore their thoughts and emotions. Together, we work to develop effective coping and processing skills while building their confidence to navigate their environments and overcome obstacles. By empowering them to recognize their strengths and equipping them with practical tools, I aim to help teens better manage challenges, build resilience, and cultivate a sense of agency in their lives.

  • I support adults through life changes and various challenges by providing a compassionate and adaptable approach tailored to their unique needs. Whether navigating transitions in parenting, caregiving, identity, or role changes, I create a safe space to explore and process these experiences. Drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, I help clients develop insights, build resilience, and identify strategies to manage obstacles effectively. Together, we focus on understanding their strengths and values, fostering growth, and empowering them to thrive amidst life’s complexities.
